April 22nd, 2019 13:11

The RESET Standard announces the soft launch of RESET Earth, a publicly accessible resource and research project focused on global air quality monitoring. RESET Earth’s core purposes include:

  • Raising the quality and quantity of air quality data being reported, globally.
  • Raising awareness about the global state of indoor and outdoor air quality.
  • Celebrating best practice case studies in global real-estate, impacting both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Catalyzing research of the impact of air quality on human and environmental health.

As part of the available resources, RESET Earth will include an API (Application Programming Interface) enabling third party app developers to use data from projects on RESET Earth.

Research projects empowered by RESET Earth will include the development an outdoor monitor standard and a means for helping users better understand the type of particulate pollution they are breathing.

RESET Earth will also support a global Sensor Planting project, designed to dovetail into Earth Challenge 2020, an initiative being led by the US Dept of State, Earth Day Network and Woodrow Wilson Institute, and to which RESET is a partner.
