RESET is proud to announce the achievement of RESET Air Certification for Core & Shell (v2.0) for 120 North LaSalle.

120 North LaSalle is a 501 ft (153m) high-rise office building in Chicago, Illinois. It was constructed from 1989 to 1992. It is the 89th tallest building in the city. The building is LEED Gold-certified under the LEED EB&OM (Existing Buildings & Operations and Maintenance) program.

Above the main entrance is a mosaic mural, by artist Roger Brown, depicting Daedalus and Icarus.

120 North LaSalle has deployed RESET Accredited in-duct air quality monitors according to the RESET Air Standard requirements. Throughout the required three-month data audit phase, the project had to demonstrate the ability to maintain IAQ within the thresholds required by the RESET Air Standard. 120 North LaSalle has been awarded with RESET Air Certification for Core & Shell (v2.0) on the February of 2021.

Additionally, 120 North LaSalle Suite 1330 has been awarded with RESET Air Certification for Commercial Interior (v2.0) on the March of 2021.

Air quality indicators and thresholds for RESET Air Core & Shell (v2.0) include:

Air quality indicators and thresholds for RESET Air Commercial Interior (v2.0) include:

The above air quality indicators and thresholds are based on industry best-practices and international standards. Targets are requisite for the projects pursuing RESET Air Certification. Additionally, temperature and relative humidity are continuously monitored, although no specific thresholds are prescribed.

After obtaining RESET Air certification, the project must maintain these thresholds in order to keep its certification status. Air quality data is collected via air quality monitors and evaluated daily by the RESET Assessment Cloud. Additionally, air data must share with project occupants to foster education and promote social equity.

About RESET® Air
RESET Air is the world’s first sensor-based, performance-driven building certification program where indoor air quality is monitored and measured in real-time. Buildings and/or spaces are required to consistently maintain healthy indoor air quality at all times, as defined by the Standard. RESET Air is comprised of comprehensive standards for hardware or sensor performance, installation, maintenance and data communication.

RESET is developed and managed by GIGA, an independent third-party organization that combines building standards development with cloud software to promote the affordability and scale of healthy buildings.
