RESET Materials Standard Drafts Available!

October 18th, 2021 15:00

After a little over a year of pilots, we are very excited to finally make the draft of the RESET Materials Standard available for download!

The RESET Materials Standard is unique in the RESET Standards repertoire because it focuses on the embodied side of the built environment instead of the operating side. The Materials Standard's primary purpose is to make health and sustainability for materials and products more easily understandable.

To do this, the RESET Materials Standard creates a scoring framework for health and sustainability metrics for each material and product, with an additional scoring framework to apply to projects.

The links below will take you to the page on the RESET Website to download the PDF:

Materials Standard for Projects (Draft v1): Download Section
Materials Scoring Methodology for Products (Draft v1): Download Section

The RESET Materials Standard is currently still a draft and subject to further changes.

We will be collecting feedback in the next few months, so we welcome any thoughts or insight that you might have at info[at]reset.build.

About the RESET Standard

The RESET Standard is the world’s first sensor-based and performance-driven data standard and certification program for the built environment. The RESET Standard creates a structure for data quality, continuous monitoring, and benchmarking. The standard harnesses the power of technology in order to assess the performance of buildings and interior spaces during their operational phase.

The RESET Standard consists of five stand-alone standards: Materials, Air, Water, Energy, and Circularity. They are modular and can be implemented separately or together depending on the needs of the project.
